| Pr ior to removing breaker panel cover
MAKE CERTAIN THE MAIN BREAKER IS IN THE “OFF”
POSITION. |

| Remove the breaker panel cover by unscrewing
the 6 (or on some panels 8) screws on the perminiter of
the panel. Pull the panel straight back so as not
to "flip" any breaker back on or off. |

| Once the cover panel is removed, turn the
main breaker on. Attach the clamp meter to one of
the legs. Put the red probe on the leg terminal
(same as the clamp is on) and the black probe on the
ground bar. Turn the dial to "KW/KVA". Make
sure the Air Condition/Heat pump is running ! Press the
"Range/Mode" button until the "PF" appeares on the
screen (6 times). Read the power factor number.
Repeat for the other leg. |
